During Cathy’s routine annual gynecological exam, her physician, Meera Atkins, MD, used a pap smear to screen her for cervical cancer. Dr. Atkins screens many patients for precancerous cells of the cervix each day. She also offers her patients a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. Maria was in labor when she went to the Maternity Suites at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.  During her labor, her baby’s heart tones began falling.  The skilled Maternity Suites staff at KCH knew something was wrong.  They immediately paged Maria’s doctor, Meera Atkins, MD.  Through a very swift coordination between Dr. Atkins, the anesthesia, operating room and maternity suites departments, Maria was rushed in for an emergency c-section.  Dr. Atkins delivered the baby in less than one minute after she made the incision, which was only a total of five minutes after the initial fetal distress was identified. Kimberly was very excited about her first pregnancy, she was expecting twins!  When the time came to deliver her little ones, she went to the Maternity Suites at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Her doctor, Bryan Kruskol, DO, an OB/Gyn physician on staff at KCH met her at the hospital. Kimberly’s labor progressed well and she soon delivered a healthy baby girl.

Tracy was pregnant with her first baby, a little girl.  During an office visit in her last trimester of the pregnancy, her doctor, Bryan Kruskol, DO, an OB/Gyn on staff at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, discovered that Tracy’s baby was turned in a breech position. Molly was 44 years old and pregnant when she went to see David Sui, MD, an Ob/Gyn physician on staff at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Molly had previously suffered through 15 miscarriages and was desperate to carry this baby to term.
