Delores, a 70 year-old woman, was experiencing discomfort and a feeling of bloating in her abdomen. When it became worrisome to her, she sought care from Radha Krishna Upputuri, MD, an Ob/Gyn physician on staff at Kishwaukee Community Hospital (KCH).
Dr. Upputuri performed an abdominal exam and discovered a large mass that was growing in Delores’ abdomen. She needed to have surgery to remove the mass.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Upputuri at KCH. He was able to remove the large mass, which was over 25cm wide, similar to the size of a watermelon.
The mass was not cancerous and once removed, it did not pose any further threat to Delores. She recovered quickly and is going about her life without painful bloating and discomfort. Delores was thankful to Dr. Upputuri for his quick and accurate diagnosis and his skillful surgical abilities.
