Kishwaukee Community Hospital and Kishwaukee Family YMCA present the Weight No More Competition. Are you ready to make positive and healthy lifestyle changes and improve your eating and exercise habits? Would you like to reduce your risk of obesity, diabetes and heart-related problems? Did you know even a 10% weight loss will improve your health? If so, the Weight No More Competition might be for you.

The Weight No More Competition is a 10-week guided exercise and nutrition program, March 2 through May 11, designed to teach you how to make positive changes in eating and exercise habits to improve your health.

At the initial March orientation meeting, participants are confidentially weighed and measured for body fat percentage and waist circumference. The final weigh-in is May 11. Kishwaukee Community Hospital and Kishwaukee Family YMCA are hosting weekly programs, covering goal setting, exercise, nutrition, emotional eating and keeping the weight off.

Kishwaukee Family YMCA is hosting a free 10-week exercise class for participants titled “Circuit Training with Weights.” This class meets twice a week for one hour combining simple weight training and cardio into one workout. Gather your friends and sign up to compete! The Weight No More Competition finale and winner announcements are held at Fit Fest on the Kishwaukee Community Hospital campus on Wednesday, May 20. Individual winners (male and female) receive a membership to the Kishwaukee Family YMCA and fitness gift baskets provided by Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Join us in making 2009 the healthiest year ever!
