A cancer diagnosis usually causes a sense of fear because of the unknown future. Bharati D. Bhate, MD likes to educate patients about their cancer diagnosis to help lessen the fear and anxiety associated with it. I like to inform them of the massive progress in treating cancer patient over the last 30 years to give a sense of hope. If they can get treatment closer to home, it makes the process easier which leads to happier patients and families. I like to help my patients, ease their pain and get to know them on a one to one basis.
