Dr. Hamdani previously served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center where he helped launch the liver transplant program. He also was an Associate Director of Liver Diseases and Liver Transplantation at the Southern New Jersey Regional Transplantation Center where he led the program to national certification. He has been a featured speaker at numerous meetings, reviewer for various scientific journals and author of several chapters in scientific textbooks including the authoritative textbook on Liver Transplantation. Dr. Hamdani is the recipient of the Glaxo Research Award for Excellence in scientific research in digestive diseases. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Illinois.
