KCH expands list of insurance providers
October 22, 2006

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is pleased to announce that Kishwaukee Health Network has signed Aetna PPO, Humana/ChoiceCare PPO and Great West (formerly One Health Plan) to its list of health insurance providers. Coverage with Aetna will begin Jan. 1, 2007; Humana and Great West will begin Nov. 1.

Kishwaukee Health Network is a coalition of area healthcare providers including Kishwaukee Community Hospital, DeKalb Clinic, Kishwaukee Medical Associates and local independent physicians. Once an insurance provider is approved by KHN, most members of the network will accept the plan.

“The Kishwaukee Health Network has been working very hard to increase the number of insurance providers accepted by local medical providers,” said Joseph Dant, vice president of business development for KishHealth System. ”The addition of these nationally recognized health plans will provide greater access for community members as well as additional insurance options for our local employers.”

Local employers should contact their insurance brokers to find out more about these and the other plans accepted by the Kishwaukee Health Network.

Other insurance providers accepted by the Kishwaukee Health Network are the DeKalb County Healthcare Purchasing Group, HFN, Preferred Plan, Inc, MultiPlan, Inc and OSF Health Plan.

Additional insurance plans are independently accepted by Kishwaukee Community Hospital. For more information call the KCH Patient Accounts Department at 815.748.8983 or click here.
