Share Hope, Celebrate Life at American Cancer Society
Relay For Life of DeKalb County Survivor Dinner June 4
May 21, 2007Hope is seen through those individuals fighting cancer, who have survived cancer and also those who have unselfishly served as a caregiver. Relay For Life of DeKalb County invites cancer survivors to come together June 4 at Hopkins Park Terrace Room at 6pm for a celebration of community and hope.
The dinner is an opportunity for survivors to have fun, share stories and offer hope to each other. All cancer survivors are encouraged to join together for this free, pre-Relay For Life event; an evening of food, hope, friendship and fun.
Kishwaukee Community Hospital is proud to be this year’s DeKalb County Relay For Life Survivor Sponsor. Along with KCH, the Survivor Dinner is presented by local oncologists Dr. Bhate, Dr. Siddiqui and Dr. Memon.
Cancer survivors are encouraged to join in this uplifting event and to take part in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of DeKalb County on June 23 - a celebration that makes a profound difference for so many.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life celebrates cancer survivors while honoring those in the community who have lost their battle with cancer. It is an overnight fundraising event in which teams of local businesses, schools, churches, community groups and families designate at least one team member at a time to walk or run on a track throughout the night. All local cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to participate in this year’s Relay For Life of DeKalb County, to be held Saturday, June 23, at the Sycamore High School Track.
Funds raised through Relay For Life support area cancer education programs, advocacy, research and patient support services.
