Family Celebrates Two Births at Kishwaukee Community Hospital
January 14, 2009Cousins Jaiden and Kennady share more than just a family relationship. They also share the same birthday; they were both born on January 9, 2009. It was especially exciting and convenient for the family since the babies’ mothers were in rooms 3 and 4, next to each other in the Maternity Suites at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
Housekeeper for the Maternity Suites, Isabel Hernandez, wondered why she saw the father from room 3 traveling back and forth between his wife’s room and the one next door. Little did she know, James became a father and an uncle on the same day. Kennady’s dad, James Pionke, is Heather’s brother. She also saw Linnae Pionke, of DeKalb, spending time with both mothers. Linnae is the proud grandmother of both babies. Kennady is Linnae’s first granddaughter and Jaiden is her fourth grandson.
Jaiden Javell Allen was born to Heather Huffman, of DeKalb, at 8:09 a.m. He was seven pounds, six ounces and 20 inches long. Dr. Josheph Baumgart delivered Jaiden. Thirteen hours and 24 minutes later, that evening, Kennady Jean Pionke was born to Karrie Pionke, of DeKalb, at 9:33 p.m. She was six pounds, one ounce and 18 inches long. Kennady was delivered by Dr. David Sui for Dr. Radha Upputuri.
