Blood Drive at KCH
October 6, 2008

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is hosting a community blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 22, noon to 6 p.m. in the KCH Roberts Conference Center. Donating blood is completely safe, and organizations like the Heartland Blood Centers rely on volunteers for support.

A photo ID is required for donation. Donors should be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of fluids before they donate. Blood collection takes about 10 minutes and the total process about one hour. Individuals must be 17 years of age and older to participate. All donors will receive a premium Heartland Blood Centers nautical jacket as a gift for participating. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged.

To schedule an appointment call the hospital at 815.756.1521 x151000 or online at www.heartlandbc.org.
