KishHealth System Offers Family Fitness Events

Presented by the Kishwaukee Family YMCA and Kishwaukee Corporate Health, Fit Fest 2009 is an annual event that celebrates National Employee Health and Fitness Day. On May 20, from 4 to 6 p.m., walkers are invited to navigate a one mile, noncompetitive, handicap accessible course, beginning at the old Kishwaukee Community Hospital and continuing through the neighborhood surrounding it. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to get out and get moving at this 3.1 mile run/walk on June 20, at 8 a.m. The run/walk is presented by Unlimited Performance Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. Awards are presented in 16 different age groups, both male and female. A variety of raffle prizes are available.
