KishHealth System Recognizes Achievements

Several KishHealth System staff members have been hired and promoted in recent months.
Cheryl Fisher, RN, MS, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Patient Care Services, at both Kishwaukee and Valley West Community Hospitals. She oversees all of the nursing areas of the hospitals. Fisher was Director of Nursing for four years.
Susan Andrews, RN, BS, is the new Director of Cardiology and has assumed responsibility of the Interventional Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Cardiology Lab at Kish Hospital. As an experienced nurse manager, Andrews brings with her an impressive operations background, including oversight of Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology Services, and Diagnostic Cardiology Nursing.
Karen Rouse, MSN, RN, CNL, is the Director of Outpatient Clinics. She oversees the Pain Management Clinic at Kish Hospital and Valley West, Diabetes Education at both hospitals, and the Child Development Clinic and Outpatient Nurse Liaison at Kish Hospital. For nearly 30 years Rouse was the Ambulatory Surgicenter Manager at Hauser-Ross Eye Institute.
Gary Paxson, RN, has been promoted to director of Information Systems for KishHealth System. Paxson began working for the health system in 1998 as a nursing supervisor and has worked with the IS department for seven years as a clinical analyst.
Julie Morrison RD, LDN, CNSC, is the new Clinical Nutrition Manager for Kish Hospital. She has several years of combined experience in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living situations along with managing multiple facilities in the area of food and nutrition services. Her most recent experience was at Kindred Hospital working with Sodexo, Inc. which manages food and nutrition services there and at Kish Hospital.Paul Springer has been promoted to Manager of Plant Operations and Maintenance for Kish Hospital. Springer has been serving in a supervisory capacity for the past five years. He is now managing the day to day operations of the physical plant and maintenance activities for the hospital and off campus facilities.
