November 30, 2011
The KishHealth System Marketing & Public Relations Department’s“Know Your Risks/Know Your Numbers” campaign has won a top national award in the prestigious Cardiac Vascular Advertising Awards Program. Kishwaukee Community Hospital’s 2010 campaign received the “Judges Choice Award” for the 149-bed and under category.
The “Judges Choice Award” went to one entry in each hospital size category that had a perfect score. Additionally, the campaign’s logo won a silver award. Awards were judged on both design and campaign effectiveness.
The CVA Awards are hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc., an internationally recognized firm that has specialized in strategic healthcare marketing for more than 18 years. Award winners will be published in an upcoming issue of Marketing Healthcare Today.
The national award comes on the heels of 19 Pinnacle awards received Nov. 4 from the Illinois Hospital Association’s Illinois Society of Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations. The entries included pieces used in campaigns for both Kishwaukee and Valley West Community Hospitals.
“The Pinnacle awards not only recognize design and copy writing talent, but excellence in conceptualizing and implementing a campaign or communication piece and documenting results,” said Sharon Emanuelson, Marketing and PR director. “Our awards showcase the results of collaboration among talented people. I’m very proud of our Marketing and PR team. I’d also like to acknowledge the work of MorningStar Media Group in Sycamore who handled the video and radio production for several of our entries.”
Team members are: Theresa Komitas, senior marketing and PR specialist; Noah Nordbrock, senior marketing and design specialist; Allison Bryan, public relations coordinator; Becky Cassie, wellness marketing and design specialist; Tatum Glas, website and design specialist; Dana King, event specialist; Tamara Farrell, internal communications specialist; and Emily Roberts, marketing and public relations assistant.
