Kishwaukee community hospital announces recipients of healthcare scholarships 2011-2012

Kishwaukee Community Hospital awarded a total of $26,000 in scholarship money to individuals pursuing careers in healthcare at the Kish Hospital Auxiliary Annual Meeting in May.
The Virginia Larsen Nursing Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding nursing applicant. The recipient of this scholarship was Alexandra Bantz, Sandwich, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Kish Hospital Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarships were awarded to Crystal Dalaguete, Sycamore, who is in the RN program at Kishwaukee College; Stacey A. Dreska, Kirkland, who is studying physical therapy at Northern Illinois University; Deirdra Galitz, Sycamore, who is studying radiologic technology at Kishwaukee College; Eran Gwillim, Sycamore, who is pursuing an MD at University of Illinois; Jessica Louis, Sycamore, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing from Carroll University; Kelsey Rodgers, DeKalb, who is studying community health at University of Illinois; Bailey Russell, DeKalb, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing from Millikin University; Laina Scheri, Cortland, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing; Natalie Sgarlata, Sycamore, who is pursuing an MD at University of Illinois; Karin Stokke, DeKalb, who is pursuing an OD from Des Moines University; Joanne Tallon, Sycamore, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing from Northern Illinois University; and Laura Zantout, Sycamore, who is pursuing an MD at Rosalind Franklin University.
The Floann and Hallie Hamilton Diagnostic Imaging Scholarships were awarded to Haley Faivre, DeKalb, and Deirdre Galitz, Sycamore, who are both studying at Kishwaukee College.
Karin Stokke also received the Kishwaukee Community Hospital Physicians’ Medical Education Scholarship.
Laura Zantout also received the James J. Feeney MD Memorial Scholarship.
The Hamilton Diagnostic Imaging Scholarships, the Physicians’ Medical Education Scholarship, and Feeney MD Memorial Scholarship are provided through the KishHealth Foundation.
