New spine doctor in the community

Dr. Raymond HwangRaymond Hwang, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staffs of Kishwaukee and Valley West Community Hospitals. He specializes in spine surgery, which focuses on the treatment of back and neck problems.

Dr. Hwang has extensive knowledge and training in several areas. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

He completed his internship in the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and his residency in the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. He served as chief resident of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Hwang completed a fellowship in spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as a member of the North American Spine Society. He is board eligible for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
