Female hospital volunteerVolunteer Opportunities and Gift Shopolunteer Opportunities

Kishwaukee Community Hospital welcomes volunteers of all ages from high school through retirement. They provide valuable service in all areas of the hospital. Volunteer opportunities are available at the reception desk, the gift shop, and the surgery waiting room. They also provide patient escort and make deliveries throughout the building. Most shifts are three hours long. Volunteers may be assigned to an individual department. An effort is made to match the volunteer’s skills to their service assignment.

Applicants for our high school program, TAGS (Teenaged Group Service) may apply to become a volunteer from January 1 – June 1. The orientation and training is completed in the summer with their volunteer duties to begin in August of the year they apply.
